The Magic of Tarrin’s Bay…

Today I’m sharing an interview I did about my Tarrin’s Bay series, in which I discuss writing about difficult topics, whether my characters are based on real people, and why Tarrin’s Bay is such a magical place for people to start a new beginning.

You can read the interview HERE.

You can also read Suze’s review of my latest Tarrin’s Bay novel MIRACLE IN MARCH, here’s a snippet… “I think the way Juliet Madison describes Jackson’s autism is really beautiful. The same can be said about how she handles other difficult topics in the story. She writes about them with such care and compassion and the feelings she describes are spot-on.” Read more HERE.

And if you haven’t yet started reading the bestselling Tarrin’s Bay series, you can read the currently available three books in any order, but if you prefer to follow in sequence, here are the links:

  • THE JANUARY WISH* ~ a sweet, emotional contemporary romance about the pleasures of making a wish and seeing it come true.
  • FEBRUARY OR FOREVER ~ What if your favourite celebrity fell in love with you?
  • MIRACLE IN MARCH ~ She took a break from real life, and found what she didn’t know she was looking for.

*The January Wish is also available in paperback as part of the 3-in-1 anthology TIME FOR THE BEACH.

Happy reading, and I hope you have a magical day! 🙂

NEW RELEASE – MIRACLE IN MARCH! (PLUS A GIVEAWAY)

Today is the release day for my 8th book – my 8th book on the 8th of the month, how appropriate! MIRACLE IN MARCH is the 3rd book in my bestselling Tarrin’s Bay series. It is also a stand-alone story, so if you haven’t read the first two it doesn’t matter, you can start with this one if you really want to! But if you’d like to read the first two you can grab them here:

Book 1: THE JANUARY WISH

Book 2: FEBRUARY OR FOREVER

Miracle in March is about a single father with an autistic son, and is a story close to my heart, with my own son being on the autism spectrum. It is also about Emma, the woman who broke his heart, and what happens when they are unexpectedly reunited five years later. I’ve been told that tissues are required for this one! I sure kept Kleenex in business while writing the book! 😉

Here’s the official blurb:

MiracleInMarchV2-Harlequin1920_1920x3022A new Tarrin’s Bay novel from best-selling author Juliet Madison. She took a break from real life, and found what she didn’t know she was looking for.

Emma had plans, travel plans, going-far-away plans, but her family means everything to her, so when they needed help, she was there to deliver it. Running the family business of beachside cabins in Tarrin’s Bay might not be the same as the French Riviera, but Emma finds a certain level of peace in the beautiful setting and small town community.

But when she finds that her ex-boyfriend, a man she left behind without explanation, staying in one of the cabins, her peace is ruined. She knows the only way to get it back is to share the secret she’s been hiding for five years, and admit to him the limitations that she now carries. But James has his own truths to share, and he’s not the man that Emma once knew.

They are both in very different places than before, but it’s a time for renewal and second chances when their reunion brings secrets to the surface, dreams to be remembered, and the realisation that they are both in need of a little miracle.

Bookish Updates!

Only a couple of weeks into the new year and already things are getting busy!

I look forward to attending the awards dinner in Canberra in March! If you’re going, let me know so we can be sure to say hello to each other. 🙂

2. My upcoming Young Adult series, THE DELTA GIRLS, has new release dates…

3. It’s only 7 weeks to go until my next book is released! MIRACLE IN MARCH will be available on March 8th. iTunes has a preorder available now for only 99c here.

This book is the 3rd in my bestselling, award-finalling Tarrin’s Bay series. 4. I now have a Facebook group for those who’d like to keep up to date with my news as it happens and also interact and chat about important things like books, characters, chocolate…etc. Sometimes fans of Facebook pages don’t see all the updates, so a group is a way to get notified of updates and also to post in the group yourself and chat with other members. You can join here. I’ve also posted the first two chapters of MIRACLE IN MARCH in the group, so join up and have a sneak peek! 🙂

Cover Reveal, & Tarrin’s Bay Gift Pack to WIN!

The cover fairies at Harlequin Australia have done their magic again, this time with the third book in my Tarrin’s Bay series, MIRACLE IN MARCH. What do you think?

MiracleInMarchV2-Harlequin1920_1920x3022

Here is the blurb for this story, due for release March 8th 2015.

A new Tarrin’s Bay novel from best-selling author Juliet Madison.

So now that the March book is gearing up for release, I guess I better start planning the April book! Luckily, the characters and story are already taking shape in my mind. All I’ll tell you for now is that the hero and heroine will be next door neighbours. One is a social butterfly, the other is a bit of a hermit. One has a physical disability, the other has emotional scars. But despite their clashing personalities they may just find something amazing that bonds them together. There will be a candle shop, feuding pet cats, and tattoos. Which means skin. And muscles. 😉 And of course, as with all my small town stories, there will be secrets. And this will be the first TB book in which neither of the characters are parents. More later!

Giveaway time!

Tis the season for giving, so I am giving! I have a fabulous Tarrin’s Bay gift pack to send to one lucky reader anywhere in the world (because don’t you just hate it when there’s a fab giveaway and you’re not in the right country to be eligible?!). No probs here, I’ll wear the postage costs, because I want to reward my readers for supporting this series (I have to get all the way to the December book, so please keep buying and reading them and telling your friends!) 😉

The only catch? You must be a member of my Tarrin’s Bay Series Readers Group on Facebook. And the winner can’t be one of my family members (sorry Mum).

So here is WHAT you could win:

photo-15

  • Two signed, lined notebooks featuring The January Wish and February or Forever on the front. Fill them with your ideas, musings, study notes, recipes, goals and dreams, or whatever you ‘wish’! I hope you will cherish them ‘forever’. 😉 Sorry, if you’ve read the February book you might remember that Drew likes puns.
  • A 2015 calendar featuring beautiful photos of the Australian NSW South Coast, where I live, and also the inspiration for the setting of the Tarrin’s Bay series. This is from south coast photographer Andy Hutchinson.
  • A framed postcard of one of our local beaches. I can just see my characters walking along the shore… 🙂
  • A message in a bottle! A mini-bottle, with real sand and a shell from one of our beaches! And, I will write you a secret message inside.
  • Sterling silver beaded earrings featuring the colours from the book covers, handmade locally.

And here is HOW you could win:

1. Join my Tarrin’s Bay Series Readers Group on Facebook HERE (if you’re not already a member). Once I’ve approved your request to join, you’ll be able to see the post about the giveaway.

2. Read the instructions in the giveaway post in the Facebook group, and comment on the post with your entry.

3. Winner announced December 9th.

So get cracking, only one week to win! Good luck 🙂

Book News: I’ve signed another contract!

The paperwork is all in order so I can now officially announce that I’ve signed a 3 book contract with my publisher, Escape Publishing (digital imprint of Harlequin Australia)! 😀

The books are as follows:

  • HAUNTED EVER AFTER (previously Haunted Housewives) – a romagic comedy novel about a prim and proper bride-to-be who is haunted by the ghost of her fiance’s ex-girlfriend on her hen’s/bachelorette weekend away. There’ll be fun and games, a stripper who has more to reveal than rock-hard abs, and one very feisty red-haired ghost on a mission. Releasing 1st September 2014.
  • 12 DAVES OF CHRISTMAS – a heartwarming romagic comedy Christmas novella about a romance writer who spends more time on her fictional love lives than her own, and receives a surprising visit from her Grandmother’s ghost asking for help to find her first love, Dave, who disappeared during the war. Cue a Christmas road trip, and a series of funny and touching moments as they work their way through a list of Daves in search of the right one. Releasing 1st December 2014.
  • MIRACLE IN MARCH (tentative title) – Book #3 in the Tarrin’s Bay series, though a complete stand-alone story just like The January Wish and February or Forever. …Miracle in March is about two ex-lovers both in need of a miracle, who find themselves unexpectedly reunited during a one week stay at the Tarrin’s Bay Beachside Cabins. Emma’s hiding the truth about why she ended their relationship six years ago, and James is no longer a high-flying lawyer but a single stay-at-home dad with an autistic son. At the Town of New Beginnings, truths will be shared, dreams will be remembered, and a miracle or two just may occur. Releasing 1st March 2015.
